We started with heart - and built a movement for women in business.

In 2022, a handful of local Fraser Coast women gathered over a cuppa and morning-tea sweets to talk about what was missing for women in business on the Fraser Coast.

Out of that conversation, BiziWomen Connect was born - a place to connect, learn, and belong.

Our Story

A teal mug filled with coffee featuring latte art in a floral pattern, placed on a white surface with a spoon beside it.

Founder Kylie Hunt began coordinating a women’s business community under another brand, but after twelve months she realised its values didn’t align - not with her, and not with regional women.

So she decided to create something that did.

BiziWomen Connect began as small coffee catch-ups and quickly grew into a thriving online community of more than 500 women. From there came our signature events - Workshops, Coffee & Connect, and Bubbles & Bites - each hosted at locally-owned venues to support the community that supports us.

In 2024, Kylie launched EmpowerHer, the Fraser Coast’s first full-day Women in Business Conference, raising funds for Fraser Coast Hospice through ticket sales, raffles, and silent auctions.

By 2025, our membership program had expanded, our events sold out, and we proudly sponsored local initiatives supporting women and families impacted by domestic violence.

Now, in our third year, BiziWomen Connect continues to thrive - and we’re expanding our mission beyond the Fraser Coast to reach more regional women across Australia.

Our Vision

To become Australia’s leading hub for women in business - a movement that connects regional communities through learning, leadership, confidence, and genuine empowerment.

We envision a future where every woman, no matter her postcode, has access to the same opportunities, education, mentorship, and community as those in major cities. A future where women in regional towns no longer feel isolated, overlooked, or left behind - but instead feel supported, inspired, and surrounded by a network of women who truly get it.

We believe that when women have access to the right environment - one built on connection rather than competition - they rise. They build stronger businesses, healthier mindsets, and deeper confidence. They create opportunities not only for themselves, but for other women, their families, and their communities.

Our vision is to break the barriers that have traditionally held regional women back. To create spaces where women feel seen and heard.
To offer learning that’s practical, impactful, and relevant. To foster leadership that reflects real life - the messy, beautiful, multitasking reality of women in business. To build a culture where collaboration is the standard, and every woman has a seat at the table.

We’re not just building a network. We’re building a nationwide sisterhood - one region at a time. A movement that champions women to grow their businesses, step into leadership, and back themselves boldly, unapologetically, and wholeheartedly.

Because when women thrive, communities thrive. And when women support each other? Absolutely anything is possible.

A letter from the Founder

A woman with shoulder-length brown hair, smiling, standing next to a stone wall, wearing a light green dress.

Hi lovely,

If we haven’t met yet, I’m Kylie - a mum of one, wife to my high-school sweetheart, virtual assistant, and the quietly determined woman behind BiziWomen Connect.

And if I’m being completely honest with you… I never set out to create a movement. I simply wanted a place where I felt like I belonged.

For most of my life, I’ve been the shy one. The overthinker. The one who stands at the door of a networking event taking a deep breath, hoping no one notices the nerves. The one who sits in the car afterwards replaying every conversation, wondering if I “said the right thing.”

So when I started my VA business, I naturally went looking for community. For support. For conversations with women who understood the chaos of juggling a business, motherhood, relationships, deadlines, identity, and everything else life throws at us.

But the spaces available to me felt nothing like that.

They were stiff.
Competitive.
A little bit intimidating.
And honestly… they didn’t feel like me.

I didn’t want to walk into a room and feel like I had to perform. I wanted to walk into a room and feel welcomed.

So in 2022, after coordinating another business community that no longer aligned with my values or the heart of our regional town, I stepped away. I thought I was closing a chapter - but really, I was opening a new one.

One morning, over coffee and morning-tea sweets with a handful of local women, everything shifted. We talked. We laughed. We opened up about the struggles no one really talks about. And in that small, honest moment, I realised something life-changing:

If I felt intimidated and disconnected… other women did too.

What started as a simple, shy woman’s desire for genuine connection quickly grew into something much bigger - a safe, warm, inclusive space where women could show up exactly as they are.

No comparison. No competition. No pressure to be perfect.

Just real women, having real conversations, making real connections.

That was the beginning of BiziWomen Connect.

Since then, our little cuppa-and-chat has blossomed into workshops, networking events, Bubbles & Bites, Coffee & Connect, premium memberships, and our full-day EmpowerHer Conference - the only event of its kind here on the Fraser Coast, raising funds for our local hospice and changing lives in the process.

We’ve grown to over 500 women and counting. We’ve seen friendships form, businesses flourish, confidence return, and opportunities unfold. We’ve become a hub - not just a networking group - and a movement that is only just getting started.

And I want you to know something important, you belong here. Yes - you.

Whether you’re shy like me, loud and proud, brand new in business, feeling a bit lost, or thriving and ready for your next level… there is a place for you in this community.

This is your space to learn, grow, connect, be supported, feel inspired, and show up as the woman you actually are - not the one the world expects you to be.

Thank you for being here. Thank you for believing in connection over competition. Thank you for growing with us - and for letting us grow with you.

We’re building something powerful here… and we’re only just getting started.

With love,
Kylie Hunt
